Job Description:

Based in Melbourne CBD, this role is a one of those rare opportunities for an experienced Senior Automation Engineer/Architect to join a true industry leader.

You will be working on innovative products using bleeding-edge technologies and taking the lead on automation in an AWS microservices architecture.

You will:
  • Lead, guide and PoC automation strategies and approaches for AWS microservices architecture
  • Create, execute and maintain automation frameworks
  • Lead, mentor and encourage continuous quality improvement in a small cross-functional Scrum team
  • Create and manage test environments hosted on AWS
  • Conduct exploratory testing
  • Get involved at Unit testing stage and participate in code reviews
  • Proactively strive to improve testing and automation, sniffing out bugs at root source
  • Participate as an active member of a strong, agile team.

What you'll need:
  • Web/UI and microservices testing experience
  • Experience building frameworks from scratch for multiple purposes (e.g. Selenium, Postman, SOAPUI, Chrome Driver)
  • JavaScript (e.g. Jasmine, Jest, Mocha, Protractor, Karma etc.)
  • Browser-testing frameworks (e.g. (Cypress.io)
  • AWS, microservices, containers, serverless and decoupled architectures
  • Experience with a DevOps, CI/CD approach (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity)
  • A hunger to learn and a passion for technology
  • An excellent understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts and multiple programming languages (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python, C++ etc.)
  • A track record of following Agile best practices
  • Commercial experience of open source testing tools and implementations.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborative attitude and strong team-player attitude
