My client:

My client is a global financial services business, with a large presence in Melbourne. They are highly regarded in the market for their innovative product offering, and they offer employees unparalleled career development and growth. They are a leader in their industry and continue to grow year on year.

The role:

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, this role will both be a hands on role, as well as a support function to junior members of the team as it relates to training and development. This role covers the APAC region, conducting local audits and working as part of global initiatives. Working in a small team, you will be exposed to the full suite of audits, across risk and advisory, covering governance, process, technology and controls based work.

You will work closely with the business to add value to their various departments, with stakeholders at various levels of the management group. You will provide high quality written reports in a timely fashion, in order to provide recommendations to the business. You will also be expected to support local and global projects depending on the business need, and share best practices with the global audit community.

The ideal candidate:

Ideally you will be Big 4/ Mid Tier trained, within a Risk Advisory or Internal Audit department. This role will suit either Senior Analyst/Asst Manager or Manager, looking to make their 1st move into industry. You may also have left already, and are looking for your next challenge after 1+ years in an industry role.

Financial Services experience is preferred but not essential, and experience auditing Funds Management businesses will be an advantage. You may also have experience with Funds Management external audit or GS007 testing.

Experience aside, it is essential that you are a strong communicator, with solid written skills and a passion for Internal Audit.
