Job Description:

The Risk and Controls Specialist is a globally facing strategic role, where you will be designing and implementing control frameworks from an operational perspective across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Audit professional to join an internationally recognised brand within the financial services space, offering a diverse and interesting product range to the institutional and retail markets. This is an ideal opportunity for you to get an in-depth understanding of how this business operates, as you will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the internal control framework across the business.


Your key focus areas will include:
  • Conduct independent Controls Self-Assessment programs of operational units within the business, implement control testing, and assist with reporting the results of independent reviews.
  • Compliance monitoring, testing and reporting of the PDS and/or IMA agreements
  • Work with project teams to ensure that the appropriate internal controls are implemented for new products.
  • Conduct critical incident reporting and trends analysis.
  • Build strong working relationships with audit, risk, compliance and business unit contacts across the business.
  • Development of monthly dashboards and management reporting.

Key Skills and Requirements:
  • Experience in financial services based internal audit, risk management and internal controls is a must.
  • Demonstrate an ability to influence cross functionally
  • Fully CA/CPA qualified
  • Creative and critical thinking skills are essential, as is the ability to challenge the status quo.
  • You will have strong reporting and analytical skills.
