The Role
Due to this exciting strategic vision & transformation, a pivotal new role has been created for a Senior Commercial Analyst.

As Senior Commercial analyst, you will report directly to the Director of Finance and work closely with the senior leadership team to create & embed a strong measurement culture through accountability and line of site results. Here, you can hold a seat at the table where you will directly shape how decisions are made & drive commercial outcomes.

As a key business partner, you will conduct a review of the organisation's revenue, operations, expenses and competition to identify ways the business can capitalise on opportunities to improve it's financial position. At the same time, you will identify opportunities for process efficiencies & continuous improvement.

As part of your role, you will create and develop data models, including the use of Power BI to analyse trends & key drivers to support sales forecasting, promotional planning & cost impact. You will analyse sales figures, competitor results and the activities of partnering organisations and external data sources to determine opportunities and appropriate product mix to drive sales and align closer with the customer.

As a key influencer and trusted business partner advisor, you will work closely with the director to present findings to senior stakeholders and the executive leadership team to guide their understanding and ultimately obtain endorsement to ensure that informed business decisions are achieved.

In addition to your commercially focused activities, you will play a key role in the implementation of Power BI and a new integrated ERP platform over the initial 6 to 12 months, as it relates to capturing business needs and requirements.

You will be CPA/CA/CIMA or equivalent qualified, with at least 10 years of FP&A experience, ideally in a commercial environment. You will have a strategic mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills. Most importantly, you will have the the ability to hold the floor and get the "buy in" of senior executives to drive & influence key business decisions.

You will demonstrate strong strategic and commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgement with well-developed conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.

Ideally, you will have exposure to Power BI or similar and come with advanced Modelling and statistical analysis skills. Equally, strong working knowledge of integrated ERP systems and advanced Excel are a must.

This is a senior "stand alone" role which requires the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. As such, you will need to be self-managed, agile, accountable and work autonomously.

You will have a passion for process improvement and optimisation.

Superior written and verbal communication skills are absolutely essential.
