The Role
Reporting into the Senior Financial Accountant within the Finance Project Admin team, you will be leading the Finance Project Admin team which is accountable for:
  • Monitoring project creation and set up across all internal systems
  • Assist the Senior Financial Accountant ensuring month end timesheets are closed in a timely manner
  • Taking ownership of the month-end invoicing process
  • Ensuring Finance Project Admin queries are answered efficiently within SLAs and that the business needs are being met
  • Monitoring purchase orders budgets for invoicing and ensuring customer invoices are accurate and within purchase orders value
  • Ensuring project write-offs are processed in accordance with the internal controls
  • Assist the Senior Financial Accountant with preparing monthly WIP and project profitability reports
  • Constantly looking for new and better ways to conduct the Finance Project Admin function
  • Monitoring and mentoring performance of direct team reports
  • Assist the rest of the Finance team with tasks as and when directed
  • Backfilling for the Senior Financial Accountant during leave period/s
To be successful you will demonstrate the following:
  • Ideally, you will be keen on commencing or partway through a finance qualification such as CA, CPA or CIMA
  • Familiarity with financial project administration processes and methodology
  • Experience in creating, collating and presenting project reports, financials, invoicing and timesheet generation/administration
  • Experience with project initiation and closure procedures and process administration
  • A collaborative approach to working effectively with internal divisions such as Finance, Sales and Resourcing teams
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar finance ERP systems would be an added advantage
  • Working knowledge of the financial aspects of Project Management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong decision making and organisational skills
